What Drives Us
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and serve the Bouviers des Flandres breed throughout South Africa, by the responsible and effective rescue of Bouviers in need. Education of the public with relation to the qualities, characteristics, needs and requirements of this special breed is of the utmost importance. All Bouviers handled by BdFRSA will only be placed in fully approved homes after sterilisation, full vaccination, deworming and micro-chipping.

Adoption is the most honourable thing someone can do, please do the right thing and adopt a pet.
How do I adopt a Bouvier
The first step is to visit us and familiarise yourself with the animal, we will assist and guide you.
Are Bouvier's child friendly?
It depends on the history of the dog and its temperament, visit us and we will guide you.
Are Bouvier's good guard dogs?
Yes, we have a lot of videos on Youtube where we train them to protect their owners.
How much will it cost me?
Please get in touch with us and we will discuss the costs with you. Please note that we are not breeders and it will be a straight passthrough cost.
